Dear EASC Colleagues,
It was not an easy year, it was difficult, it was characterised by war, climate change and challenges at all levels...
...and yet it was also a year with good sides! Each and every one of you will certainly look back at the end of the year and decide how you will rate 2023!
How was the year for EASC? - A look back...
It was a good year for EASC: with inspiring meetings at It's EASC Time, with a virtual congress, with regional group meetings in different countries and regions, with increasingly professional newsletters, with many new members and new institutes, with new international collaborations, with increased cooperation at European level with ANSE, EMCC and other associations...
Many people have helped to bring all this and much more to life. Our office has become virtual in 2023 and has grown. In addition to Antonia Schweimer, Constanze Schröder, Nike Fischer and Lilli Szabo, Jens-Peter Jandausch has joined us. Many have helped in various ways to make EASC what it is today. Livia Sold and her work for the newsletter are representative of many others. There have been farewells from people who have contributed a lot of time and energy to EASC, such as Mathias Hofmann and Hans Günther Siemon. And there are new people who are willing to contribute their time to this organisation, including Andreas Wolf, Susanne Richter and Markus Jüster.

And there are certainly many things that you are still missing, where we can still improve in 2024. We are happy to do this and will continue to do so with open ears and energy! Contribute yourselves and your ideas so that in 2024 the EASC can not only continue to grow, but above all dedicate itself to what makes us special: reflection, dialogue, debates about quality and Europe, the joint advancement of our professions.
In times like these, we often ask ourselves why everything is going the way it is, why it is so difficult, why people can't communicate better with each other, why we can't live together more peacefully...
... As coaches and supervisors, as individuals, we are part of this world and can contribute to making communication easier, helping people to reflect on their actions and communicate and act in a more appreciative way.
As coaches and supervisors, we offer spaces for reflection, opportunities to pause and think. As an association, we also want to make this possible for you next year: in the monthly It's EASC times, in the working groups on various topics, in the regional groups, at the congress, which will take place live in Prague in 2024, etc.
EASC celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024, we will do this through different formats and ideas throughout the year. We invite you, even if you have been working in your professions for a long time, to use the EASC and RTC badges to show even more to the outside world what quality in coaching and supervision means.
In 2024, the world needs a strengthening of democratic structures, spaces for reflection, a focus on ethics and sustainability - we can contribute to this on both a small and large scale.
