Topic
Coaching in the future - only online via large digital platforms?

This evening – and for a second time – we would like to exchange ideas about the future of coaching, especially with regard toDigital Coaching Platforms (DCPs).

With Frank Strikker and Lutz Salamon, we have been able to gain two experts who can introduce us further into the topic. The evening will be moderated by <link mitglieder profil volker-tepp>Volker Tepp.

Presentation
Prof. Dr. Frank Strikker
heads the Master's programme in Business Coaching and Change Management at the Euro-FH Hamburg and is managing partner of SHS CONSULT GmbH Bielefeld. He works as a coach and change facilitator in various industries. Member of the DBVC.

The following book that is about to be published, deals with the topic of this evening: "Uwe Böning/Frank Strikker: Coaching in the second romanticism: Descent or Ascent? Between individual promise of happiness and social responsibility". Dramatic changes require a new perspective on coaching. Political developments, climate crisis, digitalisation and corona are changing coaching vehemently. The authors analyse the interaction between social life and value developments, the self-image of the individual and coaching. They describe the critical influence of positive psychology on coaching and the disruptive changes in the coaching market caused by the new coaching platforms.

Their position: Coaching has to face these challenges offensively.

Lutz Salamon, Dipl.-Ing. for electrical engineering, is a certified teaching and senior coach of the German Coaching Association e.V. (DCV) and its founding member. As a board member of the DCV, he represented it for 9 years in the Roundtable of Coaching Associations (RTC).

His focus was and still is on the professionalization of coaching with the aim of becoming a professional: Coach! Under this heading he has been involved in the RTC since 2005. Today he is the neutral authority and "the memory" of the RTC as well as co-author of the position paper, the ethics guideline and the minimum standards of the RTC. In addition to his freelance work as a business coach for executives and his voluntary work as an arbitrator for the city of Wülfrath, he is the managing chairman of the Roundtable Coaching e.V. (RTC).

His position: Every profession legitimises itself, among other things, through social responsibility. Therefore, coaching must also take place in this professional framework in the event of disruptive changes in the coaching market.
