In recent weeks, we have been informed about emails that misuse our name (“EASC”) in connection with supposed contact or membership lists. These messages are not issued by the EASC and have no link to our organisation.

Our review shows no signs of unauthorised access to our IT systems or member data. The messages currently circulating are, in our assessment, spam or phishing attempts that seek to appear trustworthy by referencing our organisation.

How to handle such emails

  • Do not reply
  • Do not provide any information
  • Delete the message

We appreciate all members who have forwarded these messages to us; your support helps us evaluate the situation more effectively. If additional suspicious emails appear, you are welcome to continue reporting them.
