EASC Board Strategy Meeting: Setting the Direction for 2026

To begin 2026 with clarity and strong momentum, the EASC Board came together for a two-day online strategy meeting (on the 26th and 27th of January) focused on defining key priorities for the year ahead.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for in-depth discussion, alignment, and forward planning across all major areas of the association’s work.

Day 1: Strengthening our foundations and member experience
The first day was dedicated to reinforcing EASC’s core activities and enhancing the value offered to members. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the Mentoring Programme and the planning of next year’s cohort, as well as the continued development of English Intervision groups. The Board also reviewed EASC’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure strategic alignment and measurable impact.

Further topics included the Congress Event Platform, strategic cooperations and member services, Institutes’ Meetings, and updates from the Regional Groups. These conversations aimed to strengthen collaboration across the network and ensure that EASC continues to respond effectively to the evolving needs of its community.

Day 2: Communication, recognition, and future direction
On the second day, the focus shifted towards communication, recognition, and the long-term development of EASC. Key discussions included preparations for the 2026 EASC Congress in Budapest, as well as the future direction of the EASC Newsletter and broader communication strategy.

The Board also reviewed onboarding documents and processes to improve clarity and accessibility for new members. In addition, attention was given to the work of the Awards Committee and the upcoming EASC Awards, which will be presented during the Budapest Congress.

Commitment to professionalism and governance
During the meeting, the Board also agreed to sign the European Union Charter of Professionalism for Coaching, Mentoring and Supervision. This decision represents an important step in reaffirming EASC’s commitment to high professional standards, quality, and ethical practice.

In addition, the Board agreed on a previsionary Rule of Procedure and will continue to review the new manual in greater detail over the coming months, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and transparency.

Looking ahead
The strategy meeting was marked by thoughtful dialogue, shared commitment, and a strong sense of collective purpose. With clear priorities and a solid roadmap in place, EASC is well positioned to continue supporting its members and advancing the fields of coaching, mentoring, and supervision throughout 2026 and beyond.
