This 90-minute interactive session, titled “Active Hope – A Framework for Positive Collaborative Impact,” will be facilitated by Linda Aspey and Alice Howard-Vyse.
The session introduces participants to The Work That Reconnects (WtR), a framework originally developed by eco-philosopher Joanna Macy. Grounded in deep ecology, systems theory and Buddhist thought, this approach encourages moving beyond passive optimism towards Active Hope — understood as something we consciously practice and co-create, both individually and collectively.
Through the Spiral Journey process, participants will:
- Explore climate-related emotions with honesty and care
- Strengthen resilience and collaborative capacity
- Gain practical insights and tools for coaching practice
- Reframe uncertainty into values-led, courageous action
SCC Roundtables are collaborative learning spaces designed to explore timely topics shaping the global coaching and mentoring community. Each session lasts 90 minutes and is open to those interested in sustainability, professional development and systemic impact.
Two time options (11 or 12 March) are available to support global participation.
The roundtable is hosted by representatives from the Global Supervisors’ Network, the Association for Coaching, and the Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches.
We encourage all EASC members to join this important conversation and connect with colleagues across the international coaching and supervision community.
