It's EASC Time! - December, holiday edition

We are having our last - holiday edition - It's EASC Time! of 2023 together on the 20th of December and would like to celebrate with you!

We would love to celebrate with you and have fun together and also get to know each other better, so here is what we ask of you:

If you are ready to share with us your favorite holiday tradition - either a special meal or a holiday custom or game you and your family are participating in and follow year after year -please let us know so we can prepare our time together.

EASC office closed over Christmas and New Year

Dear members,

Reflective practice focus groups - update

As part of the cooperation between EASC, EMCC and ANSE the three organisations arranged focus groups to discuss the topic of Reflective Practice. As there were many more members interested in this work from the two other organisations - both much larger in membership than EASC - we created six mixed focus groups with members of all three associations with at least one EASC member participating in each group. Each association facilitated two groups. 

A huge thank you goes to Ekaterina Von Dell'Armi for not only arranging the online meeting of two focus groups and facilitating them both but also for writing a great summary of the work of the groups. The last step is still ahead: one appointed member from each organisation - Ekaterina from EASC - will get together to create a joint summary of the results which then will be presented at the parliamentary breakfast in Brussels. 

We are very grateful to all who participated in this project and excited about presenting the final results, which we will be sharing with you as well.

Cooperation with ANSE and EMCC

We are happy to update you on our cooperation with ANSE and EMCC and are happy to announce that we are planning a common parliamentary breakfast the 24^th of January in Brussels to spread the information of the useful and necessary work coaches and supervisors are doing to a bigger group of parliamentarians!

We will soon inform you about the meeting and let you know about the outcome!

Report from the workshop for teaching supervisors

After a long break, a refreshing workshop by the teaching supervisors finally took place again on November 24, 2023.

We spoke lively and constructively about the current development of the teaching supervision profile as part of the ongoing reform process, gained an insight into the teaching supervision workshops for LTC (Life Trust Coaching) and thus also into the increasingly digitalized work of our field, and discussed the tension between the economic needs on the part of the teaching supervisors and the simultaneous dependence on training institutes. At this point, special thanks go to Andreas Wolf and Volker Tepp for their contributions to the workshop!

The announcement that there will again be an annual workshop for teaching supervisors in the future and that an intervision group will be introduced was particularly well received. This intervision group will meet three times a year with a focus on case supervision. The next two dates for these intervisions have already been set:

Thursday, February 29th, 2024 and Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 - from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

An early invitation will be sent by email and after registration, participants will receive the Zoom link. Save the date!

Cross-association quality seal of the RTC for more professionalism in the coaching market

From October 2023, the coaching umbrella organisation Roundtable Coaching e.V. (RTC) will introduce the first cross-association quality seal for coaches in Germany. The new seal bears the designation "Certified Coach RTC" and authorises the use of the title "Coach RTC".

All member associations of the RTC have been audited since October 2023 and have since been authorised to provide their certified members with the new coaching seal.

You can find out more about this new way of proving quality in coaching and promoting the visibility of qualified coaches in the RTC's latest press release.

Zoom conference of the RTC on the new quality seal "Between transparency and charisma: New perspectives for quality in coaching"

In connection with the new cross-association quality seal of the Round Table Coaching, we would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to an RTC event that will take place online via Zoom on 13 December 2023 from 18:00 - 19:30.

In addition to highly qualified and reputable coaches, there are also "black sheep" on the coaching market. How can potential clients of coaching services recognise who they are dealing with? How does quality assurance work in coaching? The coaching associations usually answer this question by defining their own standards and certificates. As a result, a confusing number of quality standards and titles for coaches have developed. The RTC has responded to this confusion by introducing the first cross-association quality seal for coaches in Europe in October of this year.

Under the title "Between transparency and charisma: New perspectives for quality in coaching", Arne Klein, Peter-Paul König and Lutz Salamon will present the special features of this seal and discuss new perspectives for more quality in coaching.

Two new badges available

As you can read in the RTC press release, we will be able to use a cross-association quality seal from 2024. We are very pleased about this!

In addition, we will also be offering our coaches and supervisors an EASC quality seal from 2024 to prove their high quality and show their clients that they are up to date with their personal training and further education in their profession.

Coaches and supervisors can present their training and participation in supervision and intervision groups during the last three years to the EASC office and will then get the EASC quality seal for their marketing and publication purposes.

We will keep you informed about the exact process. Firstly, we have prepared a form with five reflection questions for the badge application, which can be the frame for their own reflection about their work as Coaches and Supervisors.

For those who also apply for the RTC badge via EASC, the same process applies, you just need to tick that you would also like to receive your RTC badge as well (available in German and English).

Message from Jesús Hernández Aristu

We are privileged to provide the setting for Jesús Hernández Aristu, who informs us that he has taken the decision to open a new stage in his life and retire from active work at the Navarra Mitxelena Institute.

We have enjoyed working with him for many years and look back with pleasure on the conference that has just taken place in Pamplona in September. You can find his personal statement here.

Book review(s)

Patricia Jehle writes to us this month about two books worth reading, The Myth of Normal by Dr. Gabor and Daniel Maté and The Mindful Body by Ellen Langer. She follows on from an "It's EASC-time" with Daniela Finkelstein on the subject of trauma.

The two books deal with the topics of trauma and stress and can be an inspiration for working with clients when it comes to dealing with trauma and supporting and accompanying our clients on the path to a meaningful life.

Training to become an empowerment coach

Next year, the Würzburg Academy for Empowerment Coaching will once again be offering training to become an empowerment coach, which prepares you to work as both a business coach and a life coach. "Empowerment" has been a technical term in psychology for almost 40 years, meaning the experience of competence, influence, self-determination and meaning. If empowerment is high, motivation and performance increase while the number of sick days and the staff turnover rate fall. Coaching can make an important contribution to increasing empowerment in companies and organisations.

Empowerment is a recurring theme throughout our coach training programme, both in the professional context (from which the term originates) and in coaching life issues. At the same time, the training is a solid basic training for prospective coaches, which places great emphasis on teaching a helpful attitude in coaching and a methodology that spans different schools.

Skupiny zaměřené na reflektivní praxi - aktualizace

V rámci spolupráce mezi EASC, EMCC a ANSE uspořádaly tyto tři organizace fokusní skupiny k diskusi na téma reflektivní praxe. Vzhledem k tomu, že zájem o tuto práci projevilo mnohem více členů z obou dalších organizací - obě mají mnohem větší počet členů než EASC - vytvořili jsme šest smíšených fokusních skupin se členy všech tří sdružení, přičemž každé skupiny se účastnil alespoň jeden člen EASC. Každé sdružení facilitovalo dvě skupiny.

Velké poděkování patří Ekaterině Von Dell'Armi nejen za uspořádání online setkání dvou fokusních skupin a facilitaci obou, ale také za sepsání skvělého shrnutí práce skupin. Poslední krok je ještě před námi: jeden určený člen z každé organizace - Ekaterina z EASC - se sejde, aby vytvořil společné shrnutí výsledků, které pak bude prezentováno na parlamentní snídani v Bruselu.

Jsme velmi vděční všem, kteří se na tomto projektu podíleli, a těšíme se na představení konečných výsledků, o které se s vámi také podělíme.

Spolupráce s ANSE a EMCC

Navazujeme na spolupráci s ANSE a EMCC a s radostí oznamujeme, že 24. ledna plánujeme společnou parlamentní snídani v Bruselu, abychom rozšířili informace o užitečné a potřebné práci, kterou trenéři a supervizoři dělají, mezi větší skupinu poslanců!

O setkání a jistě i o jeho výsledku vás budeme brzy informovat!

Seminář pro vedoucí učitele

Po dlouhé přestávce se 24. listopadu 2023 konečně opět uskutečnil osvěžující workshop pro supervizory výuky.

Živě a konstruktivně jsme diskutovali o aktuálním vývoji profilu pedagogické supervize v rámci probíhající reformy, získali poučný vhled do seminářů pedagogické supervize pro LTC (Life Trust Coaching), a tím i do stále více digitalizované práce našeho oboru, a diskutovali o napětí mezi ekonomickými potřebami na straně pedagogických supervizorů a současnou závislostí na vzdělávacích institucích. Na tomto místě patří zvláštní poděkování Andreasi Wolfovi a Volkeru Teppovi za jejich příspěvky k workshopu!

S mimořádným ohlasem se setkalo oznámení, že se opět bude konat každoroční workshop pro supervizory výuky a že bude zavedena intervizní skupina zaměřená na případovou supervizi, která se bude scházet třikrát ročně. Další dva termíny těchto intervizních setkání již byly stanoveny:

Ve čtvrtek 29. 2. 2024 a ve čtvrtek 23. 5. 2024 - obě od 18:00 do 20:00 hodin.

Včasná pozvánka bude zaslána e-mailem a účastníci po registraci obdrží odkaz na Zoom. Zapište si datum!

Pečeť kvality RTC napříč asociacemi pro větší profesionalitu na trhu koučování

Od října 2023 zavede zastřešující organizace koučů Roundtable Coaching e.V. (RTC) první křížovou asociační pečeť kvality pro kouče v Německu. Nová pečeť nese označení "Certifikovaný kouč RTC" a opravňuje k používání titulu "Kouč RTC".

Všechny členské asociace RTC prošly od října 2023 auditem a od té doby jsou oprávněny poskytovat svým certifikovaným členům novou trenérskou pečeť.

Zoom konference RTC o nové pečeti kvality "Mezi transparentností a charismatem: Nové perspektivy kvality v koučování"

V souvislosti s novou pečetí kvality napříč asociacemi Kulatého stolu koučů bychom vás rádi při této příležitosti upozornili na akci RTC, která se uskuteční online prostřednictvím Zoomu dne 13. prosince 2023 od 18:00 do 19:30.

Vedle vysoce kvalifikovaných a renomovaných koučů se na trhu koučování objevují i "černé ovce". Jak mohou potenciální klienti koučovacích služeb poznat, s kým mají tu čest? Jak funguje zajištění kvality v oblasti koučování? Koučovací asociace na tuto otázku obvykle odpovídají definováním vlastních standardů a certifikátů. Výsledkem je nepřehledné množství standardů kvality a titulů pro kouče. RTC na tento zmatek reagovalo tím, že v říjnu letošního roku zavedlo první pečeť kvality pro kouče napříč asociacemi v Evropě.

Pod názvem "Mezi transparentností a charismatem: Nové perspektivy kvality v koučování" představí Arne Klein, Peter-Paul König a Lutz Salamon zvláštnosti této pečeti a budou diskutovat o nových perspektivách pro větší kvalitu v koučování.

K dispozici jsou dvě nová kvalitní těsnění

Jak již bylo uvedeno v tiskové zprávě RTC, od roku 2024 budeme moci používat pečeť kvality napříč asociacemi. To nás velmi těší!

Kromě toho budeme od roku 2024 nabízet našim trenérům a supervizorům také pečeť kvality EASC, aby mohli prokázat svou vysokou kvalitu a ukázat svým klientům, že jsou na úrovni svého osobního tréninku a dalšího vzdělávání ve své profesi.

Koučové a supervizoři mohou kanceláři EASC předložit svá školení a účast v supervizních a intervizních skupinách za poslední tři roky a poté obdrží pečeť kvality EASC pro své marketingové a publikační účely.

O přesném postupu vás budeme informovat. Nejprve jsme pro vás připravili formulář s pěti otázkami pro reflexi žádosti o odznak, který může tvořit rámec pro vaši vlastní reflexi vaší práce koučů a supervizorů.

Pro ty, kteří žádají také o Pečeť kvality RTC prostřednictvím EASC, platí stejný postup, jen musíte zaškrtnout, že chcete získat také Pečeť kvality RTC (k dispozici v němčině a angličtině).

Zpráva od Jesúse Hernándeze Aristu

Je nám ctí poskytnout zázemí Jesúsovi Hernándezovi Aristu, který nám oznamuje, že se rozhodl zahájit novou etapu svého života a ukončit aktivní činnost v Institutu Navarra Mitxelena.

Rádi jsme s ním spolupracovali po mnoho let a s potěšením vzpomínáme na konferenci, která se právě konala v září v Pamploně. Jeho osobní prohlášení najdete zde.

Patricia Jehle nám tento měsíc píše o dvou knihách, které stojí za přečtení: Vom Mythos des Normalen od Gabora a Daniela Maté a The mindful body od Ellen Langer. Navazuje na rozhovor "Je to EASC-time" s Danielou Finkelsteinovou na téma traumatu.

Obě knihy se zabývají tématem traumatu a stresu a mohou být inspirací pro práci s klienty, pokud jde o zvládání traumatu a podporu a doprovázení našich klientů na cestě ke smysluplnému životu.

Školení na kouče posilování

Würzburgská akademie pro empowerment koučink bude v příštím roce opět nabízet školení pro získání titulu empowerment kouč, které vás připraví na práci obchodního i životního kouče. "Empowerment" je v psychologii již téměř 40 let odborným termínem, který znamená prožitek kompetence, vlivu, sebeurčení a smyslu. Pokud je empowerment vysoký, zvyšuje se motivace a výkonnost a zároveň klesá počet dnů pracovní neschopnosti a fluktuace zaměstnanců. Koučování může významně přispět ke zvýšení empowermentu ve firmách a organizacích.

Téma empowermentu se opakovaně objevuje v celém našem programu školení koučů, a to jak v profesním kontextu (z něhož tento termín pochází), tak v otázkách koučování v životě. Současně jde o solidní základní školení pro budoucí kouče, které klade velký důraz na výuku vstřícného postoje v koučování a metodiku, která zahrnuje různé školy.
