Dear EASC Community, dear Colleagues, dear Friends,
What an incredible time we had together at the EASC Congress in Budapest! Now that the dust has settled and we’ve all had a moment to catch our breath, I want to send out a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who joined us, contributed, and helped make this event such a resounding success.
Together, we rolled up our sleeves and did some truly meaningful work. We spent two rich days exploring how democracy, diversity, and inclusion weave through the worlds of supervision and coaching. We walked the talk; from deep dives into ethics and the rapidly changing landscape of AI, to hands-on work with systemic constellations and so much more - with the help of simultaneous translation and bilingual moderation - we looked at our practice through countless fresh and vital perspectives. Our two brilliant keynote speakers set the bar high, sparking powerful reflections and conversations that continued long after they stepped off the stage.
Of course, it wasn’t all serious focus—we also had a total blast! A special shout-out goes to our two wonderful moderators, who kept us structured, on time, and constantly smiling throughout the program. Beyond the sessions, the true magic happened in the spaces in between: laughing over warm coffee breaks, catching up over delicious lunches, and soaking in the vibrant energy of Budapest. And what a finale! Our farewell dinner at the gorgeous City Park Café was the perfect, memorable conclusion to a wonderful gathering.
A huge congratulations to Mechthild Wenk-Ansohn, the very first winner of our newly introduced EASC Social Star Award - Society, Ethics & Responsibility! Mechthild’s dedication and contributions set an extraordinary benchmark for our community, and we are thrilled to honor her achievement. As part of her reward, keep an eye out for a special feature on Mechthild in our upcoming newsletter! We hope this exciting milestone establishes an inspiring new tradition for the years ahead—one we look forward to expanding with even more award categories at our next in-person conference in 2028.
As we pack away our notes and reflect on everything we learned and shared, our eyes are already looking ahead. The wheels are turning, and planning is officially underway for the next EASC Connects Congress, which will be taking place online!
Thank you once again for your time, your energy and your valuable insights. We can’t wait to connect with you all again in the digital sphere in 2027 and in person in 2028!
Warmly, Amina and the EASC Connects organizing team |
